Add an Eye strap wraps were inspired by soldier's use of photoluminescent "cat eye" tape superglued onto rucksack and day bag buckles. While effective, this modification lacked longevity due to wear with hard use and did not have the ability to switch from overt to covert by removing/rotating the cats eye as we are familiar with on field hats.
Designed to fit securely to 1 inch and narrower webbing found on pretty much every piece of tactical gear, the Add an Eye strap wrap enables the placement of photoluminescent tape pretty much anywhere! The larger 1x1" area increases visibility in low light, especially at distance which can always be decreased by covering a portion with tape.
Add an Eye strap wraps can enable the establishment of night Standard Operating Procedures such as the identification of platoon commanders with three, section commanders with two and section members with a single Add an Eye. Extras can be worn covertly in the event a member must assume one-ups role and they can also be used in place of glow sticks for reusable and subtle marking of routes or obstacles in a patrol base / bivouac.
Available with Coyote brown or Black strap. Approximately 1" x 1" when folded.
