Description
The Fragmentation Vest Adapter Kit is designed to allow the direct attachment of industry standard* chest rigs and placards:
- Our Frag Vest Adaptor Kit Version 1 is designed for the CAF Fragmentation Vest Version 1, however, it is ALSO forward compatible with the Version 2 vest.
- Our Frag Vest Adaptor Kit Version 2 contains different vertical hangers (QASM buckles) which are ONLY compatible with the CAF Fragmentation Vest Version 2.
The inspiration for this product comes from career spent transitioning between mounted and dismounted roles, fighting in and around A and B fleet vehicles.
The use of shock cord instead of plastic or metal adjustment hardware makes the adapter kit field repairable, infinitely adjustable and keeps all of the straps as tight as possible to your body to avoid snagging when entering or exiting hatches.
The Fragmentation Vest Adapter Kit consists of three components: Vertical Hangers, Upper Straps and the Back Strap.
Vertical Hangers are available in two formats, the first format is hook and loop based and will support both versions of the frag vest. The second format are the ubiquitous Quick Attach Surface Mount (QASM) buckle which mounts onto the vertical webbing sections on the second version frag vest.
Upper Straps mount under the flap of the rear plate pocket on both versions of frag vest.
The Back Strap integrates onto the lower elastic side closures of the frag vest and is secured at the back using shock cord with the option to be routed through the eyelets at the bottom of the rear plate pocket on the first version frag vest. Sewn slots allow the adjustable mounting of split back male buckles for larger chest rigs and routing shock cord forward to secure smaller placards.
