The Wedge Insert Admin Pouch is mounted between the two vertically oriented side release buckles to provide a small pouch with elastic loops to hold writing implements and items like a six inch protractor, aide memoires and a notebook as large as the Rite in the Rain No. 946.
A piece of loop fastener silences the hook which sticks up above the placard and the loop fastener on the opposite face is sized to accept a standard six inch name tape.
The Wedge Insert Admin Pouch can also function as a low profile analogue to the Berry Pouch, mounted to the side of the standard Issue Tac Vest, between the Utility/Canteen pouch.
